P.S.: I never EVER make light of sexual assault in real life. This is fiction. Reading offers people a âsafeâ way to explore subjects and scenarios that they donât necessarily want to live out in their real life. And in some cases, abuse survivors like to read dark romance as part of their own healing journey. All my books so far also have âhappy endingsâ
If you have read one of my stories and felt that a stronger warning should have been included for a trigger, I am open to suggestions for updating this page. I typically keep my warnings generalized on my blurb and in my books for the vast majority who donât want the plot spoiled.
I donât want to debate the subject of a trigger versus something someone simply doesnât like â I donât want my books to hurt or upset people. Iâm open to listening and to questions if readers need more information to help them decide whether or not a story of mine is right for them. I will repeat that many of my books have antiheroes, violence, and sexual violence and if youâre feeling uncertain and nervous about a book of mine based on something youâve read or heard, you might want to steer clear.
