Updated Release Date for Good Girl, Alphahole Roommates Book 2

Dear Alphahole Lovers and Good Girl Preorder’ers

I’ve applied to have Good Girl’s release date pushed out by a month.

This is my first time trying this, so I’m waiting to find out if that’s going to happen or if the preorder is cancelled.

I have been making great progress with this book but looked this morning and had a timer of 8 days and a few hours to submit to Amazon and I know I need more time than that to submit a manuscript I’ll be proud of and that will do my characters justice.

I’m very sorry to disappoint.

Life, the pandemic, more life, rogue storylines that make their own rules, and self-pressure are to blame.

I don’t usually do preorders, instead letting the process happen more organically, but scheduled this a while back based on a big promo push I was doing. While it was good that the hard deadline  forced me to focus and be more disciplined while I worked on this story, I just didn’t leave myself enough time.  Kill Game (The story  I was working on before I started this) sucked me in. It turned huge – going from a story into a duet – and I had trouble tearing myself away from it to work on this story. Once I did, I fell in love with Austin and Jada but I just really didn’t leave myself enough time.

No two books of mine take the same path (and there’s the fact that life also throws curveballs. I told my husband a few weeks ago that life right now is a series of things stopping me from finishing my book) so it’s not easy to estimate how long it’ll take to write a book from start to finish.  While I’ve been working hard, pulling off some really major word count goals  with writing sprints, it’s feeling too hectic with the number of days left versus where I am. I refuse to risk delivering a product I’m not totally proud of just to get it done on time.  I love my characters and my readers too much to do that.

I’m sorry to anyone disappointed by this. Watch this space for more information on when it’ll release. I hope Amazon will accept my new release date of March 11th. Apparently they’ll let you bump a preorder once up to thirty days without penalty so that’s what I’m trying to do right now.

Unfortunately, I’m afraid the preorders on Kobo, Nook, and iBooks will most likely just cancel. I’m going to have to find out how it works with those retailers when you miss a preorder deadline.

I don’t know if this will automatically cancel preorders placed for Bad Girl  (scheduled to release in May) or not.  If not, I do still hope that releases on time but will have to assess.

Thank you, as always, for your support.

Austin and Jada will be ready for you to devour soon and then soon after, I’ll finish my Devious Games Duet before tackling Bad Girl.

Sending love and hugs,

DD Prince

XOXO
