This story was challenging to write. Not only because I wrote a fun and filthy instalove story for book one and book two needed more sensitivity and depth because we were going to be dealing with a Hero who had lost his wife and daughter, but also because I ran into technical problems with this book early on and lost the manuscript in a hard drive failure. I wasn’t that far along, only a few chapters, but for some reason it made the reboot process for me extremely difficult. Add to that a whole lot of second guessing myself about world-building and plot and it made for a tricky 2019 for me.
I am happy to say that I found the groove and could not be happier with this story and how it turned out. Seriously. I hope you love it. I love it so much!
I won’t commit to another book in this series at this time. I really do think I’m going to write book 3. I definitely set the stage for it within book 2, but my new motto is to follow the muse so I can’t commit to anything at this point regarding Joran and Lacey. I do already have the cover and a whole bunch of notes about it but that’s all I have for now.
