The Journey Begins…
I’m DD Prince and I write.
I love the way words look on a page. I love the emotions that the written word evokes. I love that I live in a time where I can share my writing, where my imaginary boyfriend can go from vision to fruition with a few clicks of a mouse.
I write for fun, I write to purge pain, I write to motivate myself, I write to express myself.
Since 2006, I’ve also written to put food on the table and keep a roof over my head with freelancing but never forgetting the dream of fiction-writing that I had as a little girl. In 2015, I decided to take hold of my dream and make it happen.
I’ve recently released my first novel, The Dominator. The journey for this 179,000 word book was fraught with starts, stops, second-guessing, and what felt like an endless loop that has spanned two thirds of my life.
It’s finally out there. It needs a few tweaks (nothing like hitting the publish button to see the errors you’ve missed!), and it doesn’t have the cover I originally envisioned but it’s out and so far the response has been more than I ever dreamed of.
